It is important to CEFA that your e-learning experience will be a positive one! We have put several measurements in place to support learners. To name but a few:
The easy to use calendar assists learners to plan their entire learning process. Important dates are highlighted and supported by a day to day planning schedule to prepare for the event.
An E-facilitator/assessor are available to provide continuous support and assistance.The e-assessor will log-in at least twice a day during the theoretical training to monitor learner participation and to address questions in order to provide guidance and support to the learners.
A 72-hour monitoring sequence of assessor activities will be conducted by the Manager: Teaching and Learning by means of drawing the informatics statistics of assessors on the e-Platform.
Learners conduct their practical training under the supervision and guidance of a designated Mentor. Each learner is assigned to a mentor in the workplace for the duration of the training to assist them with their practical workplace training.
Facilitators of the theoretical training will provide learner support in the form of Forums and Chat Room sessions and scheduled personal contact sessions (optional).
Friendly CEFA staff can be contacted in person, telephonically or via electronic media should learners need further support.
For disabled learners the following alternative or supported assessment measures will be applied as needed: Assessment materials such as examination papers and assignment outlines are converted (often by use of external providers) into formats accessible to learners; alternative venues for tests and invigilation; additional time allocation for tests and examinations; alternative forms/methods of assessments, e.g. oral examinations; advice and follow-up on alternative forms of examinations; designated support, e.g. scribe or additional invigilators, to help learners in examinations.
